Purpose of the Theory Manual

The purpose of this theory manual is to explain the mathematical, numerical, and engineering foundations used by the software. It is intended to help users understand what the software computes, why each input is required, and how to interpret the results produced by a simulation.

The manual does not replace detailed textbooks on finite element analysis or continuum mechanics. Instead, it provides a practical theoretical reference aligned with the workflows implemented in the software. Each section connects user-facing simulation steps to the underlying assumptions, governing equations, and numerical methods.

The theory manual supports three main goals:

  • Explain the physical assumptions behind supported analysis types.
  • Define the mathematical models used for discretization, solution, and post-processing.
  • Provide guidance for validating results and recognizing limitations.
